El Perelló

The maritime village of El Perelló is located on the shores of the Mediterranean coast. It lies within the Albufera Natural Park, which is surrounded by beautiful landscape of great environmental value. Throughout the year the village enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which allows us to visit El Perello with pleasant temperatures all year round.

Mention may be made of our beach of fine, golden sand, equipped with a range of services and facilities that allow for improved access, and thanks to which in 2010 we obtained a “Q” Quality Tourism flag awarded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, thus becoming a reference in tourism quality.

The maritime neighbourhood of El Perello has a pretty marina with 186 moorings, particularly suitable for shallow draft craft, and a yacht club with a large social club. The sailing school, for which a ramp that allows easy access to water has been installed, completes the offer. It may be mentioned that the Marina served as a support base for the 32nd edition of the America’s Cup.

Gastronomy:

To talk of gastronomy is to talk of El Perelló, with its variety of restaurants offering the best in local cuisine from both the Ribera Baixa and from Valencia, including Valencian paella, “caldereta de rap i llangosta” and “all i pebre “,a typical dish from the village’s surrounding the Albufera.

There is a wide range of rental properties, apartments and camping facilities, as well as the El Saler Parador luxury hotel, located a mere 7 km away.

El Perelló Council has launched a website: www.perellogastronomic.com, in the form of an informative, leisure and gastronomic magazine, detailing all the promotional activities carried out throughout the year.

Places of interest:

There is a wide range of leisure and cultural activities:

– Boat trips from “Portet de la Albufera de El Perello” through “La Plana de El Perello”, which allow the visitor to enjoy the pleasant, natural environment
– Different cycling routes through the wetland.
– The Festivities in honour of the Immaculate Conception and the local celebrations of the Spanish Constitutions are held from 5th to 8th December. There are activities for all age groups, although the medieval market and the Moors and Christians parade stand out for their popularity.
– “Las Fallas”, held in March and which are typical to the Valencia Region, are major festivities in which cheek and criticism are incorporated into the traditional monuments, and which bring together numerous elements that define the Valencian culture, such as fire, music, gunpowder and life in the street.

Mention may be made of the Agricultural-Food Fair held in June: “Tómate El Perelló”, organized by the El Perelló Council in collaboration with other public entities and private entities. The Fair includes various events aimed at boosting tourism and the socioeconomic development of the locality through the promotion of the typical local product, the tomato. Events range from the direct sale of food products at the Fair, various Workshops led by specialists, wine tasting, a “tapas” route, golf tournament, boating trips, …, so we invite you to visit the El Perello’s “Tómate” Fair, where you will find plenty of activities to enjoy.
